Overview

Verify every recycled resin lot — identity, purity, performance

Recycled plastic feedstock is variable by definition. Two big-bags labelled 'PP regrind' can have different densities, MFIs, filler loads and stabiliser reserves. Without laboratory verification of each incoming lot, moulded parts made from recyclate hit customer complaints on strength, appearance or ageing.

This solution assembles the core instruments a plastic recycler and compounder needs — resin identity by density and MFI, purity by ash and moisture, performance by tensile and impact, and durability by ESCR and OIT. Manufactured in Mumbai to ASTM and ISO methods, and used by recyclers across India's EPR ecosystem.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which single test best flags a bad recycled lot?
Melt Flow Index. A drift of ±10% versus the reference is the earliest, cheapest warning that the resin has been over-processed, contaminated or mislabelled.
How does regrind ratio affect Izod impact?
Recycled polymer chains are shorter, so notched impact drops with each processing cycle. Testing every batch quantifies exactly how much regrind your part can tolerate.
Do EPR regulations require in-house testing?
BIS regulations under EPR require registered recyclers to maintain documented QC. In-house MFI, density, ash and moisture testing is the practical minimum to satisfy audit requirements.
Can I mix virgin and recycled resin and still meet spec?
Only if tested. Blend ratio, resin origin and reprocessing history all matter. Our MFI + density + tensile + impact bench validates blends before they hit production.
