Complete testing solution for HDPE PLB telecom ducts — tensile, elongation, ESCR, MFI, density, carbon black content & dispersion, OIT. Made in India.
HDPE Permanently Lubricated Bore (PLB) ducts protect optical-fibre cables inside city and highway networks. Because a duct that cracks 20 years after installation is impossible to replace without digging, standards such as TEC and telecom specifications set strict material, mechanical and long-term durability requirements.
This solution brings together every instrument a PLB duct producer needs to certify raw material and finished duct — from MFI, density and carbon black content on the resin to tensile, ESCR and OIT on the duct wall. Manufactured in Mumbai and calibration-certified.
Each card links to the machine that runs the test.
MFI of raw HDPE and duct wall — resin verification and processing damage control.
Grade confirmation of HDPE lots — density must match the PLB spec band.
Verifies the 2.0–2.5% carbon black that gives UV protection for exposed duct.
Microscopic grading of black agglomerate size — poor dispersion means failure sites.
Antioxidant reserve remaining in the duct wall — the durability fingerprint.
Environmental stress cracking resistance — protects against long-term brittle failure.
Break stress and elongation of duct wall specimens — mandatory type-test data.
Longitudinal reversion of finished duct plus heat-ageing durability studies.
PLB duct tests cover ASTM D1238 & ISO 1133 (MFI), ASTM D792 & ISO 1183 (density), ASTM D1603 & IS 2530 (carbon black), ISO 18553 (dispersion), ASTM D3895 (OIT), ASTM D1693 (ESCR), ASTM D638 & IS 14930 (tensile), plus TEC and telecom-specific duct standards. Every instrument is calibration-certified.
