Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum bench for a packaging plant lab?

Tensile tester (or UTM), heat sealer, peel tester, GSM balance and a thickness gauge form the minimum viable QC bench. Everything else — dart, COF, opacity, MFI — is added as customer specifications grow.

Why test COF and how is it linked to line speed?

COF governs how packaging surfaces slide on filling machines and how packs stack on pallets. High COF causes jams and low line speed; low COF causes bags to slip on pallets. The QC target sits in a narrow window.

Do you supply oxygen transmission testers?

Oxygen and water vapour permeation (OTR/WVTR) require dedicated permeation cells not part of our standard offer. We cover mechanical, seal, appearance and thermal tests.
