Complies with ASTM D1709, ISO 7765 โ accepted by QC labs and export testing facilities.
A falling dart impact tester measures the impact resistance of plastic film and thin sheet by dropping a hemispherical dart of known weight from a fixed height onto a clamped film specimen. Using the staircase method, the dart weight is increased or decreased depending on whether the previous specimen failed, until the weight that causes 50% of specimens to fail is determined. This 'impact failure weight' characterises the film's toughness.
Dart impact testing to ASTM D1709 and ISO 7765 is a standard quality-control test for blown and cast film producers, agricultural film makers, and flexible-packaging converters. It quickly detects changes in film toughness caused by resin grade, processing conditions or the addition of recyclate, and is often specified by film buyers as an acceptance criterion.
Consider whether you need Method A (26-inch drop) or Method B (60-inch drop), the range of dart weights supplied, and the pneumatic clamping system that holds the film flat and repeatably. International Equipments supplies dart impact testers with the dart sets and clamping arrangements required by ASTM D1709 Methods A and B.
Kolkata and the industrial centres at Durgapur, Kalyani and Howrah form eastern India's hub for jute-polymer blends, woven-sack manufacturing, pipe production and rubber goods. The strong woven-sack and packaging sector creates particular demand for tape tensile, fabric bursting-strength and yarn testing, while pipe producers need hydrostatic-pressure and carbon-black testing. International Equipments supplies and supports the full range of textile, polymer and pipe testing instruments across West Bengal and the eastern region.
As a direct manufacturer rather than a reseller, International Equipments offers customers in Kolkata a distinct advantage: you deal directly with the company that designs and builds the Dart Impact Tester, so pricing is competitive, lead times are shorter, and technical questions are answered by the engineers who actually build the instrument. Whether you are setting up a new quality-control laboratory in Durgapur, Kalyani, Howrah, Taratala or upgrading existing equipment, our team can recommend the right Dart Impact Tester configuration for your materials, standards and throughput, and support it with installation, operator training and periodic calibration.
