A high-precision Melt Flow Index Tester range — manual, auto-cut and fully computerized models — measuring the melt flow rate (MFR), melt volume rate (MVR) and melt density of thermoplastics to ASTM D1238 and ISO 1133.
A Melt Flow Index Tester — also called an MFI tester, melt indexer or extrusion plastometer — measures the flow rate of a molten thermoplastic through a standard orifice under a set temperature and load. The result, in grams per 10 minutes, is one of the most important quality parameters in the plastic and polymer industry.
MFI values let manufacturers identify a polymer grade, confirm batch-to-batch consistency, check the effect of additives and verify that incoming raw material matches specification before production. International Equipments manufactures a complete range in Mumbai and exports to 60+ countries, from entry-level manual models to fully computerized testers that calculate MFR, MVR and melt density automatically.
From an economical manual tester to a fully automatic Method A & B instrument — each links to full specifications.
Economical entry-level model with an auto-tuned PID controller and manual sample cutting — ideal for small-to-medium labs, up to 50 g/10 min MFI.

All major thermoplastics whose flow temperature falls within the 0–400 °C range:
Supplied as standard:
Every MFI tester complies with ASTM D1238 and ISO 1133, plus IS 2530 and IS 10810 for Indian standards, and is supplied with a traceable calibration certificate. Method A measures Melt Flow Rate (MFR) by cutting and weighing the extrudate; Method B adds Melt Volume Rate (MVR) and melt density via a piston-travel sensor.
