A pneumatic back punch impact tester that checks the impact effect on the back of moulded plastic chairs — a 3.2 kg weight is driven onto the chair back by a pneumatic cylinder, with a trial counter.
Where the Seat Impact Tester loads the seat surface, the back of a moulded chair sees a different, lighter impact from occupants leaning back. This tester delivers a controlled, repeatable impact to the chair back and counts the trials, so manufacturers can verify design and wall thickness.
International Equipments builds a pneumatic back punch impact tester: a 300 mm-stroke, 40 mm-diameter cylinder with a solenoid valve drives a 3.2 kg weight onto the chair back, guided by four 1.5 m hard-chrome shafts, with a height-adjustable frame and a trial counter. A 5–10 kg/cm² compressor is arranged by the customer. Manufactured in Mumbai.
