
A falling-weight impact tester that checks the impact strength of plastic pipes to IS 4985 and IS 12235 (Part 9) — a stainless-steel striker is dropped onto a pipe sample supported in a 120° V-block.
Plastic pipes must resist sudden impact in handling, transport and service. In the falling-weight test a striker is dropped from a set height onto a pipe sample cradled in a 120° V-block, and the pipe is inspected for failure — to IS 4985 and IS 12235 (Part 9).
International Equipments builds a pipe impact tester with selectable drop heights (500, 1000, 2000 mm) and striker weights (250, 500, 1000 g). Specimens are usually conditioned at 0 °C in the zero degree chamber before testing. Manufactured in Mumbai, CE marked and calibration-certified.
