Digital Density Apparatus

A digital density apparatus that measures the density and specific gravity of plastics and rubber by the specific-gravity (displacement) method, using a digital weighing balance with 1 mg resolution.

  • Specific-gravity / displacement method (ASTM D792, ISO 1183)
  • Digital weighing balance — 220 g range, 1 mg resolution
  • Beaker, stand, sinker & thread supplied
  • Powder-coated; 230 V single-phase
Made in IndiaISO 9001:2015CE CertifiedExported to 60+ countries
Overview

A fast fingerprint of your material

Density quickly identifies a polymer grade, verifies specification and flags filler-loading or contamination changes — often before they reach production. It is found by weighing a specimen in air and in liquid and applying Archimedes principle (the specific-gravity method).

International Equipments builds a digital density apparatus based on a digital weighing balance (220 g range, 1 mg resolution) with a beaker, stand, sinker and thread, reading density and specific gravity to ASTM D792 and ISO 1183. Manufactured in Mumbai, CE marked and calibration-certified.

How the test works

Step by step

  1. Weigh in airWeigh the specimen in air on the digital balance.
  2. Weigh in liquidWeigh it suspended in liquid using the sinker and thread.
  3. ComputeThe balance computes density and specific gravity from the two weights.
  4. RecordRecord the density (g/cc) and specific gravity.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How is density measured?
By the specific-gravity method — the specimen is weighed in air and in liquid, and the balance computes density and specific gravity by Archimedes principle, per ASTM D792 / ISO 1183.
What is the balance resolution?
The digital balance has a 220 g range and a 1 mg (0.001 g) resolution.
What accessories are included?
A beaker, stand, sinker and thread for suspending the specimen in liquid.
Do you export it with documentation?
Yes — CE marked, voltage-configured and shipped with a calibration certificate to 60+ countries.
