
A motorized notch cutter that machines a precise 45° V-notch in Izod and Charpy impact specimens — with a Mitutoyo depth micrometer for accurate, repeatable notch depth.
Izod and Charpy impact results are extremely sensitive to the notch — its depth, angle and tip radius control where the specimen fractures. Hand-notching introduces scatter that can invalidate a whole set of results, so the notch is machined to a defined 45° geometry.
International Equipments builds the notch cutter with a Mitutoyo depth micrometer (0–25 mm, 0.01 mm least count) for accurate depth setting, in a Standard model and a Variable-Speed model with a Vector-Controlled Variable Speed Drive. Manufactured in Mumbai, CE marked and calibration-certified.
