Overview

Dry resin in, good parts out

Hygroscopic resins such as nylon, PET and polycarbonate absorb moisture that, if not removed before processing, causes splay, voids, bubbles and weak parts. A moisture analyser measures the moisture content directly so operators know whether resin is dry enough to run.

International Equipments builds a halogen moisture analyser that heats a sample with an infrared halogen tube while an EMFC balance tracks weight loss, reporting the moisture percentage in minutes on an LCD, with 50-test storage and an RS232 interface. How the test works

Step by step

  1. Place the samplePlace the resin sample on the 100 mm pan.
