Testing Equipment for the Packaging Industry

Complete laboratory testing equipment for the Indian packaging industry — flexible packaging, blister packs and corrugated boxes — exported to 60+ countries. Instruments validate seal integrity, machine runnability, cost optimisation and R&D across every packaging type.

Overview

What this covers

Indian packaging is one of the fastest-growing industrial sectors — and flexible packaging is the highest-growth segment inside it. Converters need in-house laboratories that cover seal integrity (heat-seal, peel), machine runnability (COF, friction), cost control (MFI, density of incoming resin) and R&D for new structures. Blister and corrugated packaging add their own test requirements on top.

International Equipments supplies the full packaging laboratory as one package — 11 instruments covering flexible, blister and corrugated — with a single commissioning visit, unified operator training and combined calibration certificates. All instruments are built under ISO 9001:2015 and are CE marked.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which tests are most critical for flexible-packaging QC?
Tensile strength and elongation per ASTM D882; heat-seal strength per ASTM F88; coefficient of friction per ASTM D1894; dart impact per ASTM D1709; melt flow index for incoming granules; and GSM for gauge consistency. These six tests cover the overwhelming majority of flexible-packaging specifications.
Can you supply the complete packaging QC lab as a single package?
Yes. A typical flexible-packaging lab combines Tensile Testing Machine + UTM + Heat Sealer + Peel Tester + COF Tester + MFI + Dart Impact + Opacity Tester + GSM Balance + Hot Air Oven + Adhesives UTM. Supplied as one quotation with a single commissioning visit, unified training and combined calibration certificates.
How does the testing differ between flexible, blister and corrugated packaging?
Flexible packaging emphasises low-load tests (film tensile, seal, COF, dart impact). Blister packaging emphasises peel-seal strength per ASTM F88 and light-transmission barrier. Corrugated packaging emphasises higher-load tests (box compression, bursting strength and GSM). We supply all three laboratories from a single workshop.
Which standards are required for stretch and shrink film QC?
Standard flexible-film tests apply (ASTM D882 tensile, D1709 dart impact, D1894 COF, F88 seal strength) plus shrinkage testing in a hot air oven per ASTM D2732 — measuring percentage shrinkage in machine and cross directions.
