The top-of-the-range Melt Flow Index Tester — fully automatic loading, cutting and weighing plus piston-travel measurement — giving Melt Flow Rate (MFR), Melt Volume Rate (MVR) and melt density in a single test to both ASTM D1238 methods.
The flagship model runs both ASTM D1238 methods in one instrument. Method A gives Melt Flow Rate by automatic cutting and weighing; Method B uses a piston-travel displacement sensor to derive Melt Volume Rate and melt density — essential for high-MFI polymers above 50 g/10 min and for full material characterisation.
With automatic loading, cutting, weighing and PC-based analysis, it is the choice for R&D laboratories and labs testing a wide MFI range. Manufactured in Mumbai, CE marked and supplied with a calibration certificate.
Methods A & B (MFR, MVR, melt density); shared temperature and load system.

Supplied as standard:
Every MFI tester complies with ASTM D1238 and ISO 1133, plus IS 2530 and IS 10810 for Indian standards, and is supplied with a traceable calibration certificate. Method A measures Melt Flow Rate (MFR) by cutting and weighing the extrudate; Method B adds Melt Volume Rate (MVR) and melt density via a piston-travel sensor.
